About us
From our small studio in Vesterbro, we are trying to bring a fresh point of view to the New Scandinavian design scene.
Bau design appears in a climate of extreme consumerism where big brands are inviting the customers to buy new products every season. As a result, the quality of the products is dropping significantly to make them cheaper and less durable, promoting the idea of disposable products.
Our goal is to design, produce and sell beautiful and durable products manufactured under fair labor conditions and market them at a price which aligns with the intrinsic value of the object.
We control the whole process, from concept sketches to packaging. This is the only way to ensure that our products deliver our identity and values.

2018 – 1st Prize Bolia Customer Design Award International competition
Pebble sofa was awarded over 400 proposal in the yearly contest organized by Bolia
2018 – Gold A’ Design Award Furniture Design
Bo vase was awarded gold at the Design Award ceremony hosted in Como, Italy
2018 – 1st Prize Philips Lighting CLUE International competition
Sol Project, a collective light therapy proposal for Copenhagen, was awarded in the yearly contest organized by Philips Lighting
2018 – Finalist CRRC-3M Cup, International Train Design competition
D-tach train, a stopless passenger transfer system, was shortlisted as a finalist.
2017 – Finalist Samsung International Q-Led Stand competition
Growth stand was shortlisted as a finalist.
